The only thing missing from our office this year was another American Advertising Award aka ADDY and, thanks to the show-stopping work of our creative and design team, G&A brought home two golds, one silver and a Best of Campaign Award for the “The Only Thing Missing” Social Media Campaign for Hilton Barbados Resort’s The Grille Bajan Inspired restaurant.

Following the announcements of the Caribbean Winners of the 2024 American Advertising Awards, we were delighted to learn that the campaign won gold in the categories of Out of Home/Ambient Media Campaign and Elements of Advertising - Art Direction Campaign. G&A also won silver in the Online/Interactive Social Media Campaign category.

The award-winning campaign was the brainchild of our wildly imaginative Creative Director, Leondra Nightengale, who conceptualised the interactive, visually captivating campaign that wowed both our client and their target audience. Senior Design Director, Tracy Gill-Worrell, and Senior Graphic Designer, Pierre Thompson-Lewis, brought her vision to life. The creative and design team was ably supported by Account Executive, Tionne Alleyne, and Account Coordinator, Khadija Collymore.

This is the first Best of Campaign award for the team, and will be a welcome companion to their previous two Best of Show awards.

I am immensely proud of our team and what they were able to produce for this exceptional brand. We pride ourselves on centering authenticity and creativity in our ideation process.
— Devin Griffith, CEO & Chief Brand Strategist, The G&A Group

G&A’s CEO and Chief Brand Strategist Devin Griffith said, “I am immensely proud of our team and what they were able to produce for this exceptional brand. We pride ourselves on centering authenticity and creativity in our ideation process. The success of the campaign and our subsequent win at this year’s ADDYs are further proof that this will always be a winning strategy for us.”

The American Advertising Awards is the advertising industry’s most prestigious competition, recognising creative excellence in advertising. Forty-two companies from six Caribbean islands submitted more than 456 entries in the 2024 edition of the competition.
